Jason is a Teaching Specialist in Applied Engineering Sciences and in the College of Engineering’s CoRe program at Michigan State University. He was named the College of Engineering’s Engineering Excellence Teaching Fellow for 2025 and was recognized as an Honorable Award Winner for AT&T’s Instructional Technology Award of Excellence in 2021. Jason focuses on helping students build strong foundations in engineering principles and computational skills, blending real-world applications and hands-on learning in the classroom. He is passionate about making engineering education engaging and accessible, and enjoys mentoring students on both technical and professional growth. Outside of teaching, Jason enjoys tinkering in his shop and spending time with his wife and three children.
