Dr. Dargazany is the recipient of ACS new investigator award, and two times recipient of Air Force summer faculty fellowships for his work on polymer degradation. His research has been supported by many industrial powerhouses, such as Robert Bosch LLC, 3M Inc., and Parker-Lord chemicals. His interests are in the area of the micro-mechanics of soft and bio-inspired materials. He is particularly interested in the mechanics of nano-composites such as elastomers, gels, biological tissues, and ultra-tough composites. Prior to joining MSU, he served as material Specialist at Continental AG, a global supplier of automotive industry. Dr. Dargazany received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the RWTH Aachen University in Germany and did his postdoc at the Department of Material Science and Engineering at MIT.
