Dr. Allison Eden (Michigan State University, 2011) is an Associate Professor in the Communication department at Michigan State University. Her research examines the underlying processes in enjoyment from media entertainment, the role enjoyment plays in attention to and selection of media content, and effects of enjoyment on behavior and recovery. Dr. Eden teaches undergraduate classes in Human Communication and Entertainment, and graduate classes in Mass Communication. She is currently an editor of the Journal of Media Psychology and the chair of the Communication Science and Biology interest group of the International Communication Association.
