New Academic Community Welcome

Finding ways to engage with a new community can be complicated under regular circumstances, let alone during a global pandemic. To help facilitate connections with MSU and the broader community, new faculty and academic staff and their families are invited to attend a “Community Welcome for New Academics.”  This virtual event will provide participants an opportunity to learn about “Things to Do” at MSU and the greater Lansing area while connecting you with other new academics.   Breakout sessions will allow for smaller group discussions on a variety of topics including: networking for new professionals, resources for outdoor enthusiasts, connecting parents (and children), support for international academics, and an exploration of other cities where Spartans work and live (i.e. Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor, Detroit, Flint). This event is a collaboration between the Academic Advancement Network and the Work Life office.
