John Papapolymerou is an MSU Foundation Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Electrical and Computer engineering. His research focuses on the development of new RF/microwave and mm-wave circuits and antennas for wireless communication and sensing systems, as well as radars. His work has been funded by grants from NSF, NASA, DoD, DoE and various companies that have supported several graduate and undergraduate students and post-doctoral researchers. He is a past recipient of the NSF CAREER award and the ARO Young Investigator Award. He will serve as the Chair of the 2019 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation. Papapolymerou taught at Georgia Tech from 2001-2015 before joining MSU. John is a 2018-19 Big Ten Academic Alliance Academic Leadership Program Fellow.
