Dr. David Hyndman is an internationally known hydrogeologist and Chair of the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences. His research focuses on quantifying the impacts of changes in climate and land use on the water cycle. He also develops novel methods to characterize the aquifers that store and transmit water critical to human and ecological health. Hyndman served as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Consortium of Universities for Hydrologic Sciences, and was a Darcy Distinguished Lecturer for the National Ground Water Association. He was recently named a 2019-20 Big Ten Academic Alliance Academic Leadership Program Fellow.
