The mid-career is a time of opportunity and possibility for academics, but it can also pose a range of challenges. This symposium, which took place in April of 2018, focused on ideas and strategies that will assist academics in considering opportunities, handling challenges, and making decisions that contribute to vibrant, productive, and satisfying career paths. The keynote address was presented by Kiernan Mathews, Ed.D., Executive Director and Principal Investigator for the Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE) at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. The program also featured a panel discussion with administrators and mid-career academics, and a set of options for breakout sessions for all symposium participants.
