Lucas Nunn is an Instructor with the Department of Theatre at Michigan State University where his teaching focuses on Theatrical Sound Design and Live Sound Engineering. Mentoring students in the classroom, on stages, and at local venues, Lucas provides hand-on experience working with aesthetic sonic creation and audio technology. Lucas’ interests include concert mixing and immersive audio experiences, recently working with students on implementing binaural recording technology and three-dimensional audio mixing into their work. His student’s most recent project “Walk With Me: an MSU Sound Experience” can still be accessed and experienced by anyone who has 15-minutes to take a walk on campus!
Lucas received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Michigan State University Department of Theatre and his Master of Arts from the Central Michigan University School of Broadcast and Cinematic Arts. He has been working as a professional freelance theatrical designer and live sound engineer since 2008. He likes plants, is an avid disc golfer, and if you ask him what band he is currently listening to, he will keep talking about them long after you manage to sneak away.
