Jessica Wicks is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine for the College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she holds the administrative title of Director of Instructional Design and Assessment. In her role at MSUCOM, Jessica provides leadership to activities such as curriculum mapping, assessment planning, instructional experience and material design, and the logistical implementation of a complex integrated curriculum.
Jessica earned a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and Educational Technology from MSU and both M.A. and B.S. degrees in Human Development and Family Studies from CMU. Her interdisciplinary education, broad teaching experiences, and past leadership roles in online learning have well situated her to support dispersed learners and faculty members in a “whole person,” “systems-conscious” program. Jessica looks forward to exploring the use of patient vignettes as a tool for interleaving content in foundational biomedical science education.
