Jeana-Dee Allen is an award-winning educator, photojournalist, creator, and active community leader. She holds positions as a Professor of Practice in the School of Journalism and an Academic Specialist in Experiential Learning in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences Dean’s Office. Her work intersects storytelling, creativity and human-centered design. She instructs a large format class on creative thinking, leads field experiences and oversees the Street Team program (interdisciplinary groups of students who partner with nonprofits and create media work for them). Beyond MSU, she is an entrepreneur, artist, serial renovator of a 1917 storefront and loft she calls home and co-owner of The Robin Theatre.
