I am writing on behalf of the Academic Advancement Network (AAN) with wishes that you are deeply engaged with the work of this academic year. We hope you are enjoying your work as you support the success of our students, work with colleagues, dig into your research, and connect with those in the community around issues of mutual interest.
AAN is a unit within the Office of the Provost that is dedicated to supporting the success of faculty and academic staff— in all appointments and at all stages of their careers— in the various domains of their work. Cultivating connections and synergy—across individuals and units— is our primary work. We are committed to supporting faculty and academic staff to create meaningful and productive careers and to contribute to our university as it advances its mission with innovation and excellence.
Our work is characterized by commitment to collaboration and connection. In addition to offering AAN-hosted programs and resources, we partner with colleges and other units to highlight their initiatives and to work together to provide programs relevant to specific groups of faculty and academic staff.
In short, the AAN helps our university to function as a vibrant community in which colleagues are sharing expertise and supporting each other as they engage in fulfilling and impactful work.
